What Kind of Training Do We Offer
Hawaii Medical Training Center offers a fast and convenient program so that you can become a Nationally Certified Phlebotomist or EKG Technician in as little as 4 weeks*. Our curriculum is set so that students learn the ins & outs of Phlebotomy and/or EKG with the most hands on training. We currently offer classes online and in person so that you can continue to work while you are in school, our schedules are flexible so students from all walks of life can have a chance at success. Our instructors are graduates of the course, so they are well equipped and knowledgeable on the material. We also offer an in-house Internship program at the end of every course so that students may continue to brush up on their skills.
We Craft Employment Ready Professionals We are the topped ranked program in Hawaii and in the top 20 in the country, among thousands of programs. Our graduates typically gain employment at Clinical Labs of Hawaii, Diagnostic Labs, Blood Bank of Hawaii, and other hospitals, Bio-Metric Screening companies, Insurance Exam companies and Dialysis companies. While most start off between $14 & $16 per hour, some graduates started between $17/hour and $19/hr! Our graduates who work on the mainland typically earn $20-$30/hour!) If you have any other questions please feel free to contact us, any time. Our Students Come First Once any student successfully completes any of our training programs or workshops, they become part of our "Ohana," or family, and are welcome to return any time to participate in any of the courses or workshops that we certified them in...for no charge*! Example: If you've completed our IV-Insertion workshop once, or our EKG Interpretation workshop, you may participate in any of our future IV-Insertion or EKG workshops (space permitting) for as long as we offer those courses! *The only charges are for re-certifications and excessive supply usage. We Promise You the Best When choosing a program, don't make the mistake of basing your choice on cost alone, location (closest to home), or which one is the "cheapest" because that's exactly what you would get. We frequently receive students dissatisfied from other phlebotomy programs, especially those from other schools in Kalihi/Honolulu and Waipahu. Our HMTC graduates make up a large majority of all phlebotomists hired straight out of school, and we are often told that our graduates are the best prepared!
